Adventures in Dauset Trails
Eight GWSers enjoyed a 5-mile hike on Wednesday, August 16, at Dauset Trails in Flovilla, Ga.
Our trek took us on one of the routes that we hadn’t done as a group and was a nice change. The Dauset Trails mountain bike complex has many trail options which we will explore in the future.
The morning began with pleasant weather as we hiked through shaded forest.
GWS explorers on this day were Mary Katz, Shirley Williams, Lynn Rivenbark, Curt & Irene Cole, Jim Nelson, Tim Houston and Margaret Clay, trip leader. Thanks to our GWS webmistress, Lynn, for the pictures.
One of the highlights was the pretty creek access where we stopped for a snack and to watch the water rippling over the rocks.
Mary “Mushroom” Katz found several mush-rooms that she picked to take home for cooking after she thoroughly researches each one.
It's what these girls do best. . . .
