Adventures on the Hitchiti Trail
This past Sunday some exercise-obsessed GWS types hit the trail at Hitchiti for an outing. We dodged a good number of ob-stackles on the trail, had some good conversations, and ate lunch on an elevated rock outcrop at the Ocmulgee. The usual dining spot was underwater due to the recent heavy rains. It was good to get outdoors again with some decent weather. The trail could definitely use some work, what with the winter winds doing their work, but the forest was still very pretty. Thanks to Bud Queen for setting up the outing. Our hikers were Prez Dave Gardner, Cherry Arrowsmith, Terry Ross and Phoebe Jackson, who, visiting from upstate New York, enjoyed the snow-free trail and mild temperatures.
