Georgia Wilderness Society
Invasive Species Eradication
This was a GWS work trip and work we did!
On October 8 and 9, 2024 several members gave up their time to go to Cadwell GA (near Dublin) to help out long time member Sue Richmond clear her yard of invasives which had become unruly over time. A couple of amazing members brought battery powered tools which was a great help in demolishing thickening trees and large vines that needed to go.
After working for a few hours Sue fed us all with wonderful lunches (and dessert) – both days! After some R&R and socializing we all went back to work for a bit.
I hope everyone enjoyed getting dirt under
their nails on those two beautiful days!
Sue sent a beautiful thank you card
thanking the participants.
The participants were: Lynn Rivenbark (trip leader), Margaret Clay, Terry Ross, Bonnie Gehling, Debi Fordham, and Jane Giddens.
How many humans can you find?
